Life and Work in an Offshore Wind Farm

Life and Work in an Offshore Wind Farm – A Behind-the-Scenes Look

We’ve all seen the stunning images of offshore wind farms, but what does daily life actually look like for the service technicians working at sea? Where do they sleep? Do they go home every night? Of course not!

14/14 Rotations – Working in the Offshore Industry

A typical offshore shift, or turn, lasts 14 days. During this time, our service technicians live and work directly in the wind farm. After their shift, they have 14 days off to rest and recharge. This structured schedule allows for both efficiency and a balanced work-life rhythm.

Living at Sea – A Floating Home

While on duty, technicians either stay on a vessel anchored near the wind farm or in accommodations close to the harbor, commuting to the site by boat each day. These offshore accommodations are specially designed to provide everything the team needs for rest and recovery.

A Glimpse Behind the Scenes

Today, we’re giving you an exclusive look at life on an offshore vessel. What does a day on board look like? What challenges do technicians face? And how do they ensure safety and efficiency in the middle of the sea?
