This year we, RTS Wind AG, once again organized the Future Day. We had seven children from 5th to 7th grade visiting our office.
We took the opportunity to talk to the girls and boys about the topic of renewable energies and to introduce them to RTS Wind AG in more detail. Most of the participants who visited us had no previous contact with the wind energy industry and had many questions. We were very pleased that we were able to generate so much interest in such an important topic.
The Future Day started on Thursday at 9 a.m. in our office in Bremen. First there was a round of introductions and to tell us about their dream jobs. We then explained in more detail what RTS Wind AG wants to achieve as a company and why the wind energy industry is so important for our future.
We explained how many different jobs there are in the wind industry, whether service technician, dispatcher or project manager. Whether on land, on the water, at dizzy heights or in the office – RTS Wind AG offers everyone the opportunity to do future-oriented work as a team. And with lots of variety and fun.
We then had a challenge: With hidden clues, the group was able to playfully explore the RTS office and ask department-specific questions. After this, we drew a wind power plant together and everyone had the opportunity to design the RTS Wind AG service carts according to their own ideas.
During the lunch break there were mini pizzas as a refreshment before the climbing exercise. After dinner we went to the SWAT Academy together, a security training provider that is also responsible for training our service technicians.
The SWAT had prepared various activities: secure climbing training, a child-friendly and short first aid course and a fire drill. The children were thrilled to be able to use a fire extinguisher and were able to examine and try out the technicians’ climbing equipment.
At 3 p.m. our visitors were picked up from the SWAT Academy by their parents. We are already looking forward to the next Future Day in 2025 and are very happy that all participants were so enthusiastic about this day!
