First branch office outside of Europe

RTS Wind AG reaches the next major milestone in February 2019. "We are now crossing Europe's borders to install high-voltage systems with our Correll partners in the Formosa offshore wind farm," says Ivo Lippe, CEO of RTS.

  • Formosa is an offshore wind farm at the coast of Taiwan and China. It is Taiwan's first offshore wind farm. In the first phase, two Siemens SWT4.0-120 wind turbines (4 MW turbines) were built. These have been in operation since April 2017. An expansion of the wind farm by twenty 6 MW turbines from Siemens Gamesa is planned for this year. This will increase the installed capacity to 128 MW.

Over the last two decades, RTS has established itself as a renowned service provider for its customers. The service company with more than 450 wind energy specialists coordinates the worldwide operations around the construction and maintenance of wind turbines from its offices in Germany, Great Britain and Austria. The UK company Correll Services Ltd has been part of RTS since the end of 2017 and specialises in High Voltage, Low Voltage and Fibre Optical engineering.

Managing director Sam Dowey from Correll is looking forward to the challenge. "The contracts for Taiwan are freshly signed. We will report promptly on the next steps and further projects.“
